James Ritts
Technology Lead
James Ritts is technology lead and software architect extraordinaire at Human Engines, in charge of Influx and web-browser acceleration for WebGL. James is a driver and embedded systems master and is intimately familiar with OEM commercialization.
Prior to joining Human Engines, James worked at Sony Ericsson where he architected and wrote developer tools to be commercialized in the Playstation Suite framework.
At Qualcomm, James was a graphics driver lead for some of the first chipsets with GPU capabilities, where he contributed to drivers for OpenGL-ES 1.x and OpenGL-ES 2.0. He was instrumental in working directly with OEMs to commercialize accelerated 3D on devices from LG, Samsung, Toshiba, Sony Ericsson, Sharp and RIM.
James was also the software lead for Qualcomm’s Adreno Profiler, a richly featured OpenGLES and OpenVG performance analysis tool that brought console level graphics profiling and debugging capabilities to mobile devices.
James holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego
